Midwives can leave the register or change categories and types at any time, but you must remain on the register even if you intend to continue to work in any part of the health system (public/private) or health administration.

If you no longer intend to work in any capacity as a midwife/ health administration then you must contact PMC with whom you registered and request that your name be removed from the register.

NB In the case of foreign /international midwives you will need to contact the NMC office in Phnom Penh contact telephone numbers for NMC office can be found in the ’useful information’ section of this website.


If you wish to change your registration category for example from being a practicing midwife category 1a general to non practicing category 2 type 2a clinical related then you can do so at any time in the re registration cycle please contact the PMC with whom you are registered and they will be able to provide you with the appropriate re registration form and instructions you will need to pay a US $5 re registration fee for this service
